    سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

    Subḥāna-llāhi wa bi-ḥamdih.

    Glory and praise be to Allāh.

  2. 2

    سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ

    Subḥāna-llāh, wa-l-ḥamdu li-llāh, wa lā ilāha illa-llāh, wa-llāhu akbar.

    Glory be to Allāh, praise be to Allāh, there is no deity except Allāh, Allāh is the Greatest. (the four words most beloved to Allāh)

  3. 3

    لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

    Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā bi-llāh.

    There is no might and no power except with Allāh. (a treasure among the treasures of Paradise)

  4. 4

    أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيَّ الْقَيُّومَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

    Astaghfiru-llāha-l-ʿAẓīma alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa-l-Ḥayya-l-Qayyūma wa atūbu ilayh.

    I seek forgiveness from Allāh, the Most Great, besides Whom there is no deity, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I repent to Him. (sins forgiven, even that of one who fled from battle)

    اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

    Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim wa bārik ʿalā nabiyyinā Muḥammad.

    O Allāh, send prayers upon our Prophet Muḥammad, and grant him peace and blessings. (“Whoever sends prayers upon me once, Allāh sends prayers upon him ten times upon him” — Muslim)

  6. 6

    اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ

    Allāhumma aʿinnī ʿalā dhikrika wa shukrika wa ḥusni ʿibādatik.

    O Allāh, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.

    اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

    Allāhumma innī as'aluka-l-hudā wa-t-tuqā wa-l-ʿafāfa wa-l-ghinā.

    O Allāh, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.

    اللَّهُمَّ مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ صَرِّفْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ

    Allāhumma muṣarrifa-l-qulūbi ṣarrif qulūbanā ʿalā ṭāʿatik.

    O Allāh, You Who directs hearts, direct our hearts towards Your obedience.

    يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

    Yā muqalliba-l-qulūbi thabbit qalbī ʿalā dīnik.

    O You Who turns hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.

  10. 10

    اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

    Allāhumma innī as'aluka ʿilman nāfiʿā, wa rizqan ṭayyibā, wa ʿamalan mutaqabbalā.

    O Allāh, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, a pure sustenance, and accepted deeds.

  11. 11

    اللَّهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مَا يَحُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَعَاصِيكَ، وَمِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ جَنَّتَكَ، وَمِنَ الْيَقِينِ مَا تُهَوِّنُ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا مَصَائِبَ الدُّنْيَا

    Allāhumma-qsim lanā min khashyatika mā yaḥūlu baynanā wa bayna maʿāṣīk, wa min ṭāʿatika mā tuballighunā bihi jannatak, wa mina-l-yaqīni mā tuhawwinu bihi ʿalaynā maṣā'iba ad-dunyā.

    O Allāh, grant us a share of Your fear that comes between us and Your disobedience, a share of Your obedience that leads us to Your Paradise, and a share of certainty that eases the trials of this world for us.

  12. 12

    اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ، وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ، وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا

    Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min ʿilmin lā yanfaʿ, wa min qalbin lā yakhshaʿ, wa min nafsin lā tashbaʿ, wa min daʿwatin lā yustajābu lahā.

    O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from knowledge that is of no benefit, from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered.
