Duʿās from the Quran — Faith & Guidance

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ۝ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Ihdinā aṣ-ṣirāṭa-l-mustaqīm, ṣirāṭa-lladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim ghayri-l-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim wa lā aḍ-ḍāllīn.

Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have incurred Your wrath or of those who are astray.

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Rabbanā lā tuzigh qulūbanā baʿda idh hadaytanā wa hab lanā min ladunka raḥmah, innaka anta-l-Wahhāb.

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

Rabbanā āmannā bimā anzalta wa-ttabaʿnā ar-rasūla fa-ktubnā maʿa ash-shāhidīn.

Our Lord, we have believed in what You sent down and followed the Messenger, so register us among the witnesses.

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Rabbanā-ghfir lanā dhunūbanā wa isrāfanā fī amrinā wa thabbit aqdāmanā wa-nṣurnā ʿalā al-qawmi-l-kāfirīn.

Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

Rabbanā āmannā fa-ktubnā maʿa ash-shāhidīn.

Our Lord, we believe, so register us among the witnesses.

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Rabbi zidnī ʿilmā.

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Rabbanā afrigh ʿalaynā ṣabran wa tawaffanā muslimīn.

Our Lord, pour upon us patience and cause us to die as Muslims [in submission to You].
