Hajj & ʿUmra — 7. Day of ʿArafa (9 Dhū al-Ḥijja)
Supreme pillar of Hajj: standing at ʿArafa from noon until sunset. The Prophet ﷺ combined Ẓuhr and ʿAṣr in advance (Jamʿ taqdīm) there, then supplicated until sunset.
- 1
Lā ilāha illa-llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay'in qadīr.
There is no deity except Allāh, the One, without partner. To Him belongs sovereignty, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. ("The best of supplications is that of the day of ʿArafa")

Allāhumma laka-l-ḥamdu ka-lladhī naqūl, wa khayran mimmā naqūl, Allāhumma laka ṣalātī wa nusukī wa maḥyāya wa mamātī, wa ilayka ma'ābī, wa laka rabbi turāthī.
O Allāh, to You is all praise as we say, and better than what we say. O Allāh, to You is my Ṣalāt, my rites, my life and my death; to You is my return, and to You, my Lord, is my inheritance.

- 3
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābi-l-qabr, wa waswasati aṣ-ṣadr, wa shatāti-l-amr, Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā tajī'u bihi-r-rīḥ.
O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the doubt in the chest, and from the dispersion of my affairs. O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what the wind brings.

- 4
Allāhumma-ghfir lī wa-rḥamnī, wa-hdinī, wa ʿāfinī, wa-rzuqnī.
O Allāh, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, preserve me, and grant me Your sustenance.
