Ḥiṣn al-Muslim
Wind, Rain, and Thunder
On the occasion of atmospheric phenomena.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا
Allāhumma innī as'aluka khayrahā, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā.
O Allāh, I ask You for its good and I seek refuge in You from its evil. (during strong wind)

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا
Allāhumma ṣayyiban nāfiʿā.
O Allāh, make it a beneficial and abundant rain.

مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ
Muṭirnā bi-faḍli-llāhi wa raḥmatih.
We have received rain by the grace of Allāh and His mercy. (after rain)

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
Subḥāna-lladhī yusabbiḥu-r-raʿdu bi-ḥamdihi wa-l-malā'ikatu min khīfatih.
Glory be to Him whom thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of fear of Him. (upon hearing thunder)

اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا، مَرِيئًا مَرِيعًا، نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ، عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ آجِلٍ
Allāhumma-sqinā ghaythan mughīthan, marī'an marīʿan, nāfiʿan ghayra ḍārr, ʿājilan ghayra ājil.
O Allāh, grant us a rain that is helpful, salutary, fertilizing, beneficial, and not harmful, immediate and not delayed. (Istisqā')
