  1. 1

    Lā ilāha illa-llāh.

  2. 2

Innā li-llāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn, Allāhumma ajurnī fī muṣībatī, wa akhlif lī khayran minhā.

Indeed, to Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return. O Allāh, reward me in my calamity and replace it with something better.

  3. 3

Allāhumma-ghfir lahu wa-rḥamh, wa ʿāfihi wa-ʿfu ʿanh, wa akrim nuzulah, wa wassiʿ mudkhalah, wa-ghsilhu bi-l-mā'i wa-th-thalji wa-l-barad, wa naqqihi mina-l-khaṭāyā kamā naqqayta-th-thawba-l-abyaḍa mina-d-danas, wa abdilhu dāran khayran min dārih, wa ahlan khayran min ahlih, wa zawjan khayran min zawjih, wa adkhilhu-l-jannah, wa aʿidhhu min ʿadhābi-l-qabri wa min ʿadhābi-n-nār.

O Allāh, forgive him and have mercy upon him, grant him ease and pardon, honor his dwelling and expand his entrance. Wash him with water, snow, and hail, and cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of grime. Give him a home better than his, a family better than his, a spouse better than his. Admit him into Paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and the Fire. (funeral prayer)

    As-salāmu ʿalaykum ahla-d-diyāri mina-l-mu'minīna wa-l-muslimīn, wa innā in shā'a-llāhu bikum lāḥiqūn, nas'alu-llāha lanā wa lakumu-l-ʿāfiyah.

Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of these dwellings, from among the believers and the Muslims. Indeed, we will join you, if Allāh wills. We ask Allāh for forgiveness and well-being for ourselves and for you. (at the cemetery)

Aʿẓama-llāhu ajrak, wa aḥsana ʿazā'ak, wa ghafara li-mayyitik.

May Allāh multiply your reward, beautify your consolation, and forgive your deceased. (condolences)
